Peace and blessings to each of you on this another year and performance of the Christmas cantata, “ Born to Die” by Glenn Edward Burleigh. Once again, you have “ showed up and showed out” with your love, monetary gifts and unwavering support for this concert. We are honored to be given another opportunity to offer this musical presentation to you. Without your continuous support and the grace of God, none of this would be possible.

So blessed are we to have the return of many of our friends, guest choristers, featured soloists, narrator, musicians, and the added pleasure of extending the right hand of music fellowship to the Unity Temple Choir of Oak Park. Each and every year affords us the opportunity to build upon the success of prior years’ performances and expand to other Chicagoland communities.

We also welcome to the congregation the sister of Glenn Edward Burleigh, Ms. LaVonne (Bonnie) Burleigh, who has traveled to Chicago to hear, for the very first time, a live performance of her brother’s fine work. We are privileged to have you with us on this evening and hope that you will enjoy the experience and passion of your brother’s musical genius in our presentation.

Finally, we want to thank our Pastor, Rev. David Watkins who is a constant force in our spiritual development and growth as a choir. We thank you for the opportunity to serve and your openness to new direction and developments in our music ministry.

We offer thanksgiving for the season of joy that is upon us and pray for everlasting peace and harmony to you and your families.
